Than Memorial House
 

Than Memorial House – By combining science, art and entertainment, the memorial building offers useful entertainment for all generations, particularly for schoolchildren.

The reconstruction of the house where Mór Than and Károly Than, the world famous artist and scientist were born was finished in 2013 in Bečej. The Than Brothers Circle of Intellectuals charged Science Ltd. to organize appropriate programs and manage the Memorial House.

The Than Memorial House was officially opened on April 12th, 2013. Except for the scientific interactive park there are two more kinds of attractions that the Memorial House is offering its visitors: two memorial rooms and several art exhibitions.

27 exhibits of the scientific interactive park invite visitors to learn about the laws of nature without formulas and definitions by doing experiments, while they have the opportunity to have a look at the reproductions of Mór Than’s paintings. The visitors of the Memorial House may spend a couple of hours in the world of science and art.

The interactive park is continuously growing by including more and more new exhibits. In the close future there will be a new exhibition, while after the reconstruction of the terrace there will be outdoor programs, too.
